Where Rwandan fashion meets African art

When creativity meets purpose, something truly unique happens. That’s exactly what unfolded when a passionate Rwandan fashion house, Twinkle by Asty, teamed up with Ethiopian-born artist and educator, Luladey Takele Teshome, to launch a bold new project: Untitled.

Rooted in African heritage and inspired by everyday people, Untitled is a collaboration that brings fashion and fine art together. Lula, who moved to Rwanda nearly four years ago, found herself captivated by the country’s culture and vibrant creative community. With a lifelong love for art and a background in education, she began creating wearable pieces of art—painted clothing that celebrates African identity.

Together with the Twinkle by Asty team, they began designing collections that were more than just fashion—they were a cultural statement. Handcrafted garments now carry custom-painted elements, each piece telling its own story.

Their mission is simple: to help people look and feel beautiful through fashion that reflects who they truly are. What started with just two people has now grown into a team of passionate tailors, a creative studio, and a shared dream of empowering others through design.
